OpenCms Days 2011 did focus on the new version 8 of OpenCms that offers an improved user experience for the content manager. Experts from Alkacon Software did offer workshops on the new features of OpenCms 8. OpenCms users from all over the world did present their successful OpenCms projects.
OpenCms 8 brings a major update of the content manager user interface. The new Advanced Direct Edit feature allows content managers to create, modify and publish new pages directly “ inline” from their web pages, making OpenCms much more user friendly.
The final version of OpenCms 8 has been made available on the first day of the conference.
The conference did provide a unique opportunity to learn about the new features of OpenCms 8 directly from the developers.
