Andreas Gruber is working as a researcher in the area of knowledge management and semantic web technologies at Salzburg Research. From 1995 up to now he supported several European research projects in the 5th and 6th Framework Program by organising dissemination and evaluation activities.
Since 2005, he coordinates national research projects in the field of e-learning and knowledge management. One of the recent projects dealt with collaborative knowledge and ontology engineering methodologies for domain experts. For the European research project QVIZ, he contributed to the development of a domain ontology for collaborating on archival resources.
Currently, Andreas works mainly for the IKS project, a EU sponsored research project about the
future of the semantic web in CMS systems. OpenCms will be one of the early adopters of the IKS
technology stack.
