Carl Alex Friis Nielsen has received the MS in Computer Science and Mathematics in 1993 from the University of Southern Denmark. He is employed at the Royal Library since 2005.

OpenCms Days 2009 did take place in the KOMED convention center in Cologne, Germany. The KOMED buildings are situated centrally in the MediaPark.
