Joel is a lead architect at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives exchange.
At CME, Joel works with the Front End Systems Development teams for application design and directions. These range from trading front-end applications with a small, defined set of users to the websites which see over 5,000,000 page views (over 1,000,000 unique visitors) per month.
Joel has been working with OpenCms since 2005 and collected a wide range of experience from multiple OpenCms projects at CME Group.

OpenCms Days 2009 did take place in the KOMED convention center in Cologne, Germany. The KOMED buildings are situated centrally in the MediaPark.
